I knew about MindMeister (a Mind Mapping Software) a year ago when we were working on a custom Weebly design project. Our client sent me a sitemap and I was really impressed by its professionalism.

However, I didn’t actually use MindMeister till we re-built our own site later last year.

That was a major headache how to plan your weebly website. There are a lot of things to consider which you might not think about before starting.

There’s a chance you have the same questions as me when designing a new site or re-designing your site:

  • Which pages do I have to create?
  • Which features does the site need?
  • Where should I promote my site?

If you don’t have a good planning for your site, probably you’ll feel frustrated and your site can generate much money or success as you want.

This was our case and I believe many of you have been in the same situation as us.

There is a simple solution.

Use mind map to outline the planning for your site. It’s pretty efficient and time-saving. It helps you organize and outline your ideas so that building your website becomes relatively easy, manageable and fun.

There’s a lot of Mind Mapping softwares out there but in my opinion, MindMeister is a great choice as it’s easy to use and has all features you need. The best part is that you can use it for free until you need more.

Below is a basic Weebly site plan I’ve created, you can use it as your starter template to make the process easier.

One more thing, don’t forget about the Site Planner Weebly provides. You can view it within Weebly editor.

Combining MindMap and the Site Planner can help you have a better site plan.

Note that, planning your site isn’t a one time task. Start with the simplest plan you can then improve it often.

If you can’t do it daily, do it weekly or monthly.

If you have any question or suggestion, please leave your comments below. We’d love to know. I want to improve the example site planning above so that everyone can benefit from it.
